Seventh and fifth-place finishes with HTF Series at Sugar Creek and Smoky Mountain

On Friday afternoon, Ricky Weiss kicked off a doubleheader weekend through the Appalachian Mountains as the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series invaded Sugar Creek Raceway (Blue Ridge, Ga.) for a $8,000-to-win show.

With over 30 Late Models signed in, Weiss finished third in his heat race and started 12th in teh 40-lap main event where he would move forward five positions to finish inside the Top-10 in seventh.

The following night at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the King of the Mountain, Ricky picked up a heat race victory and redrew the third-starting position. Ricky held on in the 50-lap feature for a Top-5 finish in fifth.

Weiss moved up to third in the HTFSDS point standings.
