Runner-up finish with World of Outlaws at 411 Motor Speedway

Behind the wheel of his Derrick’s Sandblasting No. 7 Late Model, Ricky Weiss followed the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Friday night for the Mike Duvall Memorial. In a field of 39 cars, Weiss followed up the third fastest time in his qualifying group with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Brandon Overton. Receiving the sixth-starting position for the A-Main via the redraw, Ricky held his spot for all 50 laps to register a sixth place finish. (Michael Moats photo)

The following night at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.), Ricky scored a second place finish in his heat, which positioned him eighth on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main after the redraw. Marching forward six spots, Weiss reeled in a runner-up finish behind Chris Madden with Brandon Sheppard, Cory Hedgecock, and Ross Bailes rounding out the Top-5.

Ricky is currently second in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
