Pair of Top-5 finishes with World of Outlaws in South Carolina

Ricky Weiss followed the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series to Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Ga.) on Friday afternoon for the Charlie Size Memorial. In a field of 27 cars, Weiss laid down the fifth fastest lap in his time trial group before placing second in his heat behind Brandon Overton. Receiving the third-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main via the redraw, Ricky dropped outside the Top-5 early but rebounded late in the race to finish fourth behind Brandon Overton, Dennis Erb Jr., and Chase Junghans with Zack Mitchell coming in fifth.

The following night at Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, S.C.) for another $10,000 prize, Ricky jumped up two spots in his heat race to place second behind Darrell Lanigan. Starting the feature in second, Weiss held his starting spot for the entire distance to register a runner-up finish behind Brandon Overton with Ross Bailes, Brandon Sheppard, and Dennis Erb Jr. completing the Top-5 finishers.
