Mechanical issues surface in SAS event at Smoky Mountain

Saturday night found Ricky Weiss in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the Southern All Star Series-sanctioned King of the Mountain. With his qualifying effort placing him on the pole for the $7,500-to-win A-Main, Weiss suffered mechanical issues on lap 26 while running in fifth that ended his night immediately.
