Weiss records Top-10 finish in Quad Cities 150

Picking back up with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series for a tripleheader weekend, Ricky Weiss traveled to Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Thursday afternoon for the Quad Cities 150 presented by Hoker Trucking. On Friday afternoon, Ricky came in seventh in his heat before placing third in his B-Main. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Weiss gained nine spots in the 40-lap affair to cross the line in 13th.

For the finale on Saturday, Weiss edged his way into the $30,000-to-win Quad Cities 150 with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. Starting in 13th, Ricky advanced through the field six spots in the 70-lapper to register a seventh-place finish.

Ricky remains in fifth in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
