Ricky Weiss scores a pair of Top-10 finishes with World of Outlaws

Ricky Weiss embarked on a four-race eastern swing with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on Thursday afternoon at Orange County Fair Speedway (Middletown, NY) for the $10,000-to-win opener. The following night at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pa.), Weiss timed in 10th fastest before placing third in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Ricky held his spot to cross the line in seventh.

For the Battle at the Border on Saturday evening at Sharon Speedway (Hartford, Ohio), Ricky edged his way into the main event with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. Rolling off 13th, Weiss passed six cars in the 40-lapper to finish seventh.

To wrap up the four-race stretch on Sunday, Weiss stopped at Eriez Speedway (Erie, Pa.) for the $10,000-to-win finale. With a fourth-place finish in his heat race lining him up 11th on the starting grid for the feature, Ricky faded two spots to place 13th.

Ricky sits in fifth in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
