On Tuesday afternoon Ricky Weiss made a mid-week trip to Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) to do battle with the MARS Racing Series for the Hoker 50. In a field of 22 cars, Ricky jumped up one spot in his heat race to finish third. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in seventh, Weiss improved one spot in the 50-lapper to finish sixth. Picking back up with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on Friday, Weiss and crew headed to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the 31st annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend. With the massive 74-car field split into two groups for time trials, Weiss’ eighth fastest qualifying effort in his group locked him into the fourth-starting position for his $3,000-to-win preliminary feature. Transferring the Top 4 finishers in Saturday’s main event, Ricky logged a seventh-place finish.

After coming one spot shy of a transfer position in his B-Main on Saturday with a third-place finish, Ricky was granted a provisional into the $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic. Starting in 23rd, Weiss improved four spots in the 100-lap affair to record a 19th-place outing.

Ricky is currently fourth in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
