Ricky Weiss follows World of Outlaws to Smoky Mountain

On Saturday afternoon, Ricky Weiss was one of 51 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries on hand at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the ninth annual Tennessee Tipoff. Following the 11th fastest time in his qualifying group, Weiss edged his way into the A-Main with the third and final transfer spot in his heat race. With $12,000 on the line, Ricky faded one spot in the 50-lap affair to record a 17th-place outing.
