Ricky Weiss lands Top-10 finish in Show-Me 100; Runner-up finish with Iron-Man at 411

Making the trip West for Memorial Day Weekend, Ricky Weiss invaded Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday evening for night one of the Show-Me 100 with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

With a whopping 59 Late Models in the pit area, Weiss qualified third-quickest before picking up the victory his heat race. For the $6,000-to-win Cowboy Classic, Ricky ran inside the Top-10 but faded late in the feature to finish 13th.

For another $6,000-to-win event on Friday, Weiss missed the eight ball in qualifying and was unable to transfer to the main event in his heat race or consolation race.

In Saturday's $50,000-to-win Show-Me 100, Ricky Weiss earned a spot in the feature via the weekend's point standings and would start 18th in the 100-lap main event. Rolling off 18th in the feature, Weiss slowly made his way up to the Top-10 and collected a 10th-place finish in the Show-Me 100.

Making a stop at Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tenn.) on Sunday, Weiss finished third in his heat race which earned him a spot in the feature event. For the $10,053-to-win main event, Ricky gained four positions to land a sixth-place outing with the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals.

Closing out Memorial Day Weekend at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) on Monday afternoon, Ricky qualified second-fastest which planted him on the front row of the 40-lap main event. Taking the lead on the start briefly, Weiss was overtaken by eventual race-winner Cory Hedgecock on lap 8 and was forced to settle for a runner-up finish.
