Heartbreak for Ricky Weiss at 411 Motor Speedway with Crate Racin' USA
Taking an off weekend from Super Late Model action, Ricky Weiss entered his No. 7 machine into Crate Racin' USA competition at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the J.T. Kerr Memorial.
With a stout field of 40 Late Models on hand, Weiss was quickest in his qualifying group and topped the competitors in his heat race. Rolling off from the pole in the $10,000-to-win main event, Ricky led the first 23 laps of the 71-lap feature before pulling off with mechanical issues on lap 38. He was scored 22nd in the final rundown.
