Ricky Weiss opens 2024 with eighth-place outing in Night Two of Wild West Shootout

Kicking off his 2024 racing season in January, Ricky Weiss stopped into Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park on Saturday afternoon for the first round of the 18th-annual Wild West Shootout.

Out of 44 Late Models checked in, Weiss started his heat race from the third row and nabbed the final transfer spot. For the first A-Main of the week, Ricky recorded a 17th-place finish.

With another $11,000-to-win show on tap, Ricky earned another spot in the A-Main after a third-place outing in his heat. Rolling off 12th in the main event, Wiess scored a Top-10 finish with an eighth-place finish.
