Ricky Weiss scores weekly victory at I-75 Raceway

Shaking down his new car for Eldora, Ricky Weiss made the short trip to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon to compete in the weekly 604 Late Model division.

With a strong 22-car field on hand, Weiss qualified fastest overall before finishing runner-up in his heat race. Rolling off fifth in the 30-lap main event, Ricky quickly moved into the Top-3 and took the top spot on lap 23. Leading the final seven laps, Wiess collected the $1,200 payday over Bradley Lewelling and Cory Hedgecock.

Making the overnight trip to Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway on Saturday, Weiss qualified fourth-quickest in his group and finished second in his heat before rain showers washed out the remainder of the evening.
