Two more checkered flags at Dead Horse Creek Speedway for Ricky Weiss

Weiss Add Sixth Straight Victory at Dead Horse Creek Speedway

HEADINGLEY, MANITOBA, Canada (08/26/25) – Ricky Weiss has been unstoppable in Canada this summer, stringing together six consecutive wins at Dead Horse Creek Speedway.

The Headingley, Manitoba driver, known as the “Manitoba Missile,” swept the track’s doubleheader this past weekend, capturing Friday’s $1,500 opener and Saturday’s Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) $2,000 main event. Weiss, a two-time NLRA champion in 2011 and 2017, now boasts nine victories in 2025 behind the wheel of his G-Style Transport / Derrick’s Sandblasting No. 7 Sniper Chassis Late Model.

“Yeah, we’ve had this Sniper Chassis dialed in,” Weiss said. “Thanks to all my amazing marketing partners and sponsors, this car has been flawless. The Vic Hill Racing Engine in the car makes us pretty hard to beat.”

Weiss’ weekend at the Morden, Manitoba oval began Friday with the kickoff of the two-day King of the Corn. Starting from the second row in both events, he backed up a heat race win with a dominant 20-lap feature victory, pacing the final 16 laps to claim the $1,500 opener.

On Saturday, Weiss led flag-to-flag in the 20-lap finale, securing his sixth consecutive win at the track. His efforts earned a combined $3,500 in prize money for the weekend.
